So I think I've just about gotten out of my slump. I uploaded pictures off my camera for the first time in 3 months, posted on my blog a couple times and contemplating posting on dA too. First though, I need to go through about 200 deviations and another 100 messages or so. (which is a lot for me)

Sometimes when I get on dA for the first time in a long time and browse through everyone's deviations I feel a little melancholy, as though I'm on the outside of the art world looking in. Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if I would've pursued art more, etc. At the same time though I feel as though something creative inside of me wakes up when I see what everyone is up to. I start thinking of artsy things I can do in my own life. I'm going to get a bunch of Japan photos up soon. Everyone's given me a lot of good ideas for interesting pictures so I need to get to taking them, or if I have already, posting them.

By the way, life and work are good. The kids will have their school festival this weekend which I'm required to attend but have no job. Basically getting paid to have fun all weekend, I plan on taking a bunch of photos. While I'm not sure if I'll be able to post too many of them (Japanese are pretty paranoid about unauthorized pictures of students being posted on the web and whatnot) I hope to submit a few for you that'll be interesting, informative, and not get me in trouble. XD
